According
to a recent study, a diet high in antioxidant-rich
fruits and vegetables helps ward off the onset of
age related macular degeneration (AMD). Currently,
more than 13 million Americans show signs of AMD,
the leading cause of blindness in Americans aged
55 and older. The study, conducted by Harvard researchers,
followed 934 people ages 67 - 71 and discovered that
those who consumed higher levels of vitamin C, beta-carotene
and antioxidants, had lower levels of AMD.
A great source of antioxidants is the berry. The blueberry, for instance, has been praised for its outstanding nutritional properties, containing the highest antioxidant power of the 20 most common fruits and berries.

Is
global warming a reality? Is it your responsibility?
Can you influence on the planet’s destiny? Yes,
yes, and yes! According to a recent report published
by the United
Nations Food and Agriculture Organization,
animal agriculture generates more greenhouse
gas emissions than automobiles. The chief of FAO’s
Livestock Information & Policy Branch stated: “Livestock
are one of the most significant contributors to today’s
most serious environmental problems. Urgent action
is required to remedy the situation.”
